"We had R&B Glass retro-fit double-glazing to 15 medium size wooden sash windows in our 1920s Gray Young home in Wellington. This included refurbishing and reinstating existing leadlights on the interior of the sashes. They modified and/or replaced at least 3 sashes as part of the job. Great service throughout and we are very pleased with the end result. Rene and his team were very thorough and clear in their assessment and pricing of work to be done, communication throughout the job was good, and they were conscientious, punctual and tidy during the job. Plywood was fitted to the window cavities while the sashes were taken out and being worked on. A special challenge was presented by our front door which has an elaborate wooden design. Rene devised a way of fitting a single double glazed panel to this door but keeping the look from interior and exterior unchanged. Rene's team also fitted weather stripping to windows and doors to reduce drafts. Painting was completed expediously and to a reasonable standard. Since the job was completed we have noticed a big difference in the overall warmth of the house, but also an elimination of condensation in the bedrooms and a reduction in noise from exterior. Our only regret is that we didn't get the work done sooner. Rene and his team obviously enjoy their job - well done and highly recommended!"

"I would wholeheartedly recommend R & B Glazing to anyone considering double-glazing. I recently had my windows and external doors retrofitted and was delighted by the total professionalism, quality of workmanship and communication style of the the company. A point of difference between them and other companies was that in quoting for the job Rene took time to consider each window and door and to talk over with me ways in which the double glazing exercise could work as an opportunity to solve other problems. In the case of the doors this meant replacing weak and shabby lower wooden panels with toughened glass, which not only looked great but connected the house with the garden better and also improved security. For the windows it sometimes made sense to replace an opening casement with a fixed unit, thus reducing draught and a clutter of fastenings. I was also offered a full and carefully explained range of options comparing the percentage of heat loss reduction. Rene's approach immediately inspired me with confidence which was justified by the job done. The men were punctual, good humoured, reliable, considerate and careful."
